I had to go to the bank because I wanted to see about a different type of account. I had to book an appointment, and I felt like the whole time they were just trying to sell me financial products. To be honest, it made me feel pretty uncomfortable and I also felt like they were less friendly when I wasn’t interested in upgrading anything other than the account I went in for.
It’s been a very long time since I have had to go into the bank to make changes, so I hadn’t really been aware of what appointments like this would be like now. It felt very akin to visiting a cellphone provider where they will try very hard to upsell you. I really don’t like the idea that the people who are holding my money that I’m using to try and grow my future are also people who are trying to sell me things every chance they get. I don’t want to have to question if I’m going to get good service or fair treatment if I’m not interested in helping someone earn a commission or something. This experience just reinforced my appreciation for crypto and my dislike for banks. Finance should be unbiased. I don’t really know how to end the post but I just thought I’d share.
