Hey friends - looking for some assistance. I've been stacking sats on my BC Vault for some time now, but recently spoke to some experts in the industry (at least more expertise than me) who had no clue what the BC Vault was and identified some red flags (e.g. you do not get your seed phrase unless you explicitly reveal them and it marks the wallet insecure). It wouldn't reveal the seed phrase, rather it reveals the raw private key for the wallet.
I recently acquired a Cold Card MK4.
Would you recommend revealing the private key and using that in the Cold Card or simply transfering all the funds out to the new wallet address (Cold Card address). Or, just leave them in the BC Vault and start stacking new sats on the MK4 (not all eggs in one basket).
My concerns with the BC Vault are: 1) Not open source 2) Not widely known - what happens if the company goes belly up - what if the app stops working - need support - etc.
I also have a Trezor and a Ledger, but I've actually liked using the BC Vault the most and stuck with it. Just getting cold feet now that it's more than a bit of pocket change in the vault...
Thanks in advance for advice / guidance.
