Binance hostage 20K [Lawyer forced involvement]

I hope this post finds you well.

All of the following written communications represent legal matter, written under legal advisor counsel, in reference to Case ID: 71228110 and account ID 64742979

SUMMARY:

This account was opened on January 2021, trading activity was smooth, but we did not yet verify the account.

On April 3rd, the account's 2FA needed to be reset. Therefore we followed its process including ID verification. However, as Binance CS knows well, this kind of verification does not verify the account.

Ten days later, on April 13th, the account's private keys got accidentally leaked on Github, while working on a group project. The intruder succeeded in stealing some funds, through low-volume pair trading. Binance luckily suspended the account.

Costumer Support asked to proceed with KYC and provide a video showing full account login process. All steps were completed correctly.

Since the verification held on 03/04 didn't leave any info, there was bit of confusion on who verified the account previously.

Therefore, despite the correct video and verification, we erroneously breached ToS section 3, paragraph "a. Registration", regarding multiple accounts. We used the wrong identification, related to an already verified account.

The video showing full account login it's clear. Therefore proving account ownership.

UPDATE 1:

Previous post got deleted from this Binance thread.

On today's date, 15/05, two weeks have passed without resolution.

Despite a subsequent Costumer Support follow up, no update was received and communication got halted once more.

It is relevant to notice that, it has been supplied also a new video displaying deposit process from another account.

UPDATE 2:

On today's date, 24/05, one month have passed without resolution.

Given no cooperation from Binance.com, our Belgian Legal Advisor will proceed with a formal notice towards selected EU Binance officers.
