OK, I might need some college texts on EC cryptography, because BIP340 just broke my brain. I got through the secp256k1 spec, started in on the MuSig spec, and was able to get through most of the algebra, but was genuinely lost on how public key recovery happens, and how introduction of a nonce in the BIP0340/nonce tagged hash can ever produce a deterministic signature.
I'll restart on another day, but if anyone knows some good course work to cover, I'm open to suggestions.
