and I am stuck on January 2018 for the whole day. Will it improve, or I have to use a better disk? Is Bitcoin Core unusable with an external disk? Or it will get better and I will download several months in one day later? By the way, it has downloaded 41% in 5 days. Isn't that too slow for a Macbook Air M1? My Internet is 100 Mbit/s so 89 in reality etc. I download torrents with 9 Mbs sometimes, so, I don't think the Internet speed is the problem, or? My external disk is connected via USB hub and it's a 1 TB Verbatim disk that is not SSD I think.
It's interesting because during the first day I get estimates like 2 days or even under 20 hours, I think. And the first 10 - 15% was done relatively quickly in less than a day I think. Now, I downloaded only 3 - 5 percent in a day or so. Will it improve or it will get only worse?
