Can't get past 2 factor authentication on chrome for android

Everything in the login process is fine until I get to the screen where you are supposed to receive a 6 digit code either through email or text to proceed. I tap get code for either and is send the code just fine but when I input the code, nothing happens. The submit button remains disabled, no error message no nothing. What could be the problem? How do I log in PS: I also had problems logging into the android app so I uninstalled it
