Cheapest way to transfer small amounts of small cap tokens?

Hi! I know this gets asked all the time, but here it goes. I'm pretty new to the space and all this l1,l2 gas fee stuff is still a little confusing. I bought couple of small cap tokens (ern,spi) pretty much at their all time high and transferred to metamask. I would like to transfer them to exchange so I can short/play with them. Transferring them costs almost as much as their value is and I was wondering is there cheaper way to do this?
