I am having difficulty fully understanding BC’s thesis. What I understand it to be (from virtually all of Benjamin Cowen’s recent videos) is that he basically is suggesting that BTC is very near its top, and if it holds the eight week SMA, there could be one final push higher. Is he suggesting that’s it for the entire cycle? Or just in the short term?
Also, he constantly goes on and on about BTC only pumping higher if alt coins durably break down against their BTC pairs, meaning their valuations drop against BTC. So, is he also suggesting that there will not be any kind alt season where alts pump drastically against BtCs valuation after BTC tops (which we have seen in every cycle)?
He keeps going back to the 2019 mid cycle pump and suggesting that that move is the same as this one — but he fails to mention the halving at all, or the fact that BTC has just broke an all time high… the two moves are very different IMO, or am I missing something?
To me this current move (and market move in general) is more similar to the 2021 peak, which was followed by a massive pump in alt coin valuations.
Can anyone provide more clarity or deeper context as to what he’s suggesting?
Basically that BTC is approaching a cycle peak, and that altcoins will crash after the BTc cycle tops, and that there will be no alt season? Is that what he’s saying?
