Coinbase launches Base | Optimistic rollups vs ZK rollups

Nowadays, every week, we get a new announcement about an L2 rollup being launched!

With Coinbase building on top of the OP stack, what are your thoughts about how the narrative between Optimistic rollups and ZK rollups will be played out in the next few years?

This also raises many questions such as -

• Which chains will become more dominant?
• Will each new L2 have its own niche/use case?
• Will there be a time when there are just too many L2s? (currently, there are at least 8-10 major Optimistic and Zk L2s that I know of and many smaller ones in the works)
