I got lucky and invested a bit in ethereum/Bitcoin early on. Over the years I occasionally withdraw some money from Coinbase to pay for things (max once per year). Otherwise I’m totally inactive i.e. clueless. Occurred to me recently I should secure that shit since coinbase exchange apparently is not very secure.
I’m looking into soft wallets but I keep reading about crazy fees to transfer from coinbase to wallet. Is there a way to minimize fees?
Should I be waiting into ethereum 2.0 comes out to act?
I thought about hard wallet but what happens if there’s a hardware or software failure and your pass phrase is lost forever?
Been researching this week and almost getting to the point of wanting to do nothing.
Any advice is appreciated.
