AI is on the rise, nothing can stop it anymore. Generating images, and now videos with Sora, is easier than ever.
I see a lot of people afraid of this new technology (with good reasons imo) because in a very close future, we won't be able to tell if an image or video is real or fake. This can cause a lot of problems for media, politicians, or anyone really.
Could blockchain and smart contracts or nfts be the answer to this problem? Like an immutable seal of authenticity or something used by the media (that they can't control) to prove that what they're showing is real. Could this be the first actual large scale real world use case for crypto?
It won't make a story true, but we would know that the media used are authentic and not AI.
