I think I made noob mistake here after doing some reading, hopefully someone can confirm. I'm new to Binance and wanted to fund it with crypto I already had.
- I made a new Binance account and completed verification.
- I had 0.05 ETH in a Metamask wallet
- I went to the deposit crypto section on Binance.
- Selected ETH and ERC20.
- Copied the address to Metamask.
- I took 0.0025 ETH and sent it to the address.
- The ETH was sent successfully but never appeared in my Binance account.
It was sent about 7 hours ago and has not shown up on Binance. On etherscan it says it has 1800 confirmations I assume it's gone now and I made a mistake.
I've been reading how important selecting BEP20 vs ERC20 is when sending on Binance. Was I supposed to use the bridge to convert it or did I use the wrong network?
