They‘re an ethereum wallet that uses AWS’s key management service to store your keys. No seed phrase or browser extensions. I guess you have to weigh whether you trust AWS’s security layers or hope no one finds your written-down seed phrase.
I get the point of decentralization but at the end of the day what’s more secure? I’d imagine AWS has some pretty hefty security layers. Better than a safe in your closet? What do you think?
