Does anyone else feel dirty and hypocritical using MetaMask knowing that it's majority owned by JP Morgan?

I feel like we're all here to get away from banks and centralized/corrupt current financial industry, at least I am.

I recently downloaded MetaMask in order to link my Reddit avatars to opensea and knowing that JPMorgan owns a majority stake in it makes me really not want to use it and makes me feel like a hypocrite and pretty dirty.

How can we claim to want an open, fair alternative financial industry when huge bottle necks are controlled by the very entities that we despise and are trying to get away from?

I feel like this isn't spoken about enough. When the largest and most successful ethereum wallet is owned and controlled by the banks how can we claim we're here for decentralization?

It just seems like WTF are we doing? We're all giving up the ideals that blockchain is supposed to represent by giving MetaMask our business and data for the sake of chasing profits.

If the banks control the biggest wallet on Ethereum are we all just deluding ourselves and lying to ourselves about being part of the revolution that is blockchain, and what that revolution is supposed to represent?

Is there alternatives to MetaMask that aren't controlled by the banks?
