Of course the evil-doers kept their illicit funds in crypto currency. I mean, that's what criminals do, right? Although not specifically named as bitcoin, the inference is pretty strong.
So the heroine of the movie steals the 24-word seed phrase for the baddie's wallet. So far, so good. She commits it to memory and then carries around a Ledger Nano X. (At least she has good taste in wallets).
Here's my favorite part -- She already has the Ledger presumably with the seed phrase in it, but she needs to get to a "financial institution" to "access a super secure connection" to transfer the funds. So they waste 20% of the plot getting into a bank so they can access the "super secure connection" and.... enter the 24-word pass phrase into the banks terminal!
I mean, how idiotic can you get? Can't Hollywood scriptwriters bother to find out even the most basic information? THE WHOLE POINT IS YOU DON'T NEED A BANK! Hello??
ARRGH.
