As a head of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance Trusted Compute Working Group, iExec has played a significant role in driving the adoption of Ethereum technology in enterprise applications since 2018. iExec and Intel are head contributors to the first Off-Chain Trusted Compute Specification. EEA’s Offchain Working Group Led by Intel and iExec was initiated in the context of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA), iExec and Intel both being members of the Alliance. The two companies have launched a new EEA working group focusing on off-chain capabilities. Privacy has been a long-running issue in the development of the blockchain ecosystem. iExec and Intel’s collaboration is one more step towards the full adoption of Ethereum blockchain for businesses. Azure Container Instances (ACI) has officially announced the general availability of confidential containers, incorporating enhanced security and privacy measures for data processing on their serverless platform. They've partnered with iExec, to provide more secure solution for processing sensitive data. The confidential containers on ACI offer customers a hardware-based and attested Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) for deploying Linux applications. This approach ensures that sensitive data remains secure as larger datasets are collected, enabling multiparty data analytics, machine learning inferencing, and efficient data processing. Notably, data-in-use is protected by processing it in encrypted memory, adding an extra layer of confidentiality. ACI also introduces execution policies to verify workload integrity and prevent the execution of untrusted code. “At iExec, confidential containers on ACI is a critical component of our solution architecture that enables us to deploy customer workloads that require the highest levels of security and privacy without the complex modifications required by other platforms. With confidential containers on ACI we can run our most demanding workloads which include traceability, biometric authentication, AI models training/rental and cybersecurity. We are pleased with how Azure confidential computing is helping us create new opportunities for customers with its secure environments for data sharing and utilization.” - Francis Otshudi, Chief Sales Officer iExec's expertise in building Web3 and blockchain projects, with a focus on trust, confidentiality, and governance, aligns perfectly with the requirements of enterprises. Their secure solution allows for the processing, sharing, and monetization of sensitive data while retaining ownership and confidentiality. This partnership between Azure and iExec signifies a significant step forward in secure data processing within the Web3 ecosystem. It showcases iExec's commitment to revolutionizing enterprise Ethereum applications while maintaining the highest levels of security and privacy. iExec is proud to be included as a main feature in the Ethereum Enterprise Alliance Readiness Report for 2022, which assesses the capabilities and readiness of the Ethereum ecosystem for businesses.
