Binance’s $200,000 crypto donation to a Maltese cancer charity in 2018 has grown to $37 million but remains unclaimed due to a verification dispute.
A $200,000 crypto donation made by Binance and users to a Maltese charity for terminally ill cancer patients in 2018 is now worth about $37 million but remains untouched.
In a Monday X post, Conor Grogan — head of product business operations at crypto exchange Coinbase — highlighted the value of the unclaimed donation. The funds were donated as part of a 2018 Binance Charity campaign and have been lying dormant in the receiving wallet since then.
“Any Malta citizens, please let your government know that these funds are accessible,” Grogan wrote.
