Hey everyone,
Not an expert with this stuff but a colleague and I had the idea of making a digital currency to use for class (high school economics). Honestly I have no idea how realistic or even possible this would be. Ideally we would have an app that would allow students and teachers to exchange a currency with a QR code/ image that would move funds. Students could accumulate said currency to then leave the class with a token they could give exchange on a market. Ideally we want students to not only master the curriculum but earn a credit with that they could take with them to hold/ sell/ gift. Hereβs where I am at and some questions I have: 1. If I minted my own erc20 token (or something similar), and called it AAA, when students/ teachers send it, would the gas fees be in eth or AAA? 2. Which network would be best to mint my own token? 3. What key features should the token have to meet my goals above? 4. Iβm in the US so would this even be possible with laws about minors owning crypto? 5. How realistic is the token side of this pipe dream? How much eth, ONE, would I need to make my token?
Thanks for any advice/ resources to learn more on this topic.
