Hi guys!
I have recently started an automatic investment in Binance, I have finally decided to invest all of my savings (except for an emergency fund, of course) in various assets. I have set up a porfolio with stock and bond ETFs, crypto of course, yadda yadda yadda.
I want to stay invested in crypto for a long time, but at the same time I would like to take some profits along the way and re-invest them at a later time (and lower price). Not all of my investment, just a percentage.
But I'm precisely interested in what are the other people's strategies for taking profits. DCA in is easy: I have a sum that is addressed to that (buying crypto) every month, with the 4 cryptos that I prefer, and I will do that every time regardless of the price.
DCA out, however, is more difficult: how do you decide when it's time to do it? Do you start selling a percentage when you are in profit by a certain margin, e.g. +30%? and do you sell another percentage as the profit increases? Do you have some sort of fixed, pre-calculated set of rules?
Also, do you DCA in with a fixed and constant sum (like I'm going to do) or do you have a "weighted" DCA in strategy? I remember a guy here talking about his variable DCA strategy, where he'd put more money in as the crypto market goes down and vice versa put less in as the prices raise, and I remember finding that strategy rather interesting.
So I'd be extremely grateful to the community if you'd like to share your experiences! I think it could be pretty useful to other people too.
Thanks :)
