How they manipulate bitcoin with futures

Wall Street plays with something called futures, which are bets on what Bitcoin’s price will be later—like in two weeks.

With futures, you don’t need to own Bitcoin; you just promise to sell it at today’s price ($82,000 right now) and hope it drops so you can buy it back cheaper and pocket the difference.

Here’s how it goes: Hedge funds make a big futures bet, “selling” thousands of Bitcoin at $82,000 on paper.

Then, they push the real price down by selling some Bitcoin fast on exchanges or spreading rumors (like “ETFs are slowing!”). This panics smaller traders who borrowed money to bet on Bitcoin going up.

When the price falls to $80,000 or $79,000, those traders get forced to sell, and it crashes harder—say, down to $77,000.

While the price is low, the funds quietly buy real Bitcoin through private deals (not on public exchanges) at $77,000. Then, they close their futures bet by “buying” back the Bitcoin they promised to sell, but at $77,000.

They make a profit ($5,000 per Bitcoin) and keep the Bitcoin they snagged cheap.

So, they use futures to tank the price, scare everyone out, and grab Bitcoin at a discount—all while making money on the drop. That’s how the price can fall even when they’re secretly loading up for the long run.

Moral. Keep some powder dry for opportunities like this and remember they aren’t trying to crash it to zero. They’re trying to buy the bags from paper handed pussies.
