How to deal with a scammer, new experience. Play with them and let them lose time is my mantra

I guess all of you guys may have been contacted by message here in Reddit by someone asking to verify/connect your wallet…. Well. Below my experience. I let the guy lose a solid 2 hours…

• first contact around 10.15
• he ask me about verify my wallet
• I thank him, telling that I’m desperate and I have lot of money locked (like 110k$)
• the guy is willing to help of course
• I give him a random ETH address, telling i use MetaMask
• he ask me seed phrase…. I give him
• he say is not working if I have screenshot
• I say yes… and I photoshop one with the fake seed
• he say is not working and ask me backup
• I photoshop same style
• I confess him that if I don’t unlock money I will lose my wife and children
• I confess that I attempted suicide already
• he tell me to calm down and will help
• he say something wrong and ask me to access MetaMask
• I tell him that all is working now and I thank him
• I say him that I will reward him with 1 ETH
• he want to see the screenshot of my wallet
• I photoshop showing him I have 89 ETH
• I ask him to give me his address to send reward
• he tell me when
• I tell that I have to consult my wife
• is like 12.10 now

At this point I stop messaging.

Well. I had fun and keeping him occupied at least made him lose time and don’t scam someone else in meantime.

His Reddit name is ROBAYK. So keep eyes open.
