Alright. With scams again on the rise, I'm curious about Ledger safety. Ive been lurking here for a while and have read tons of scam and hack posts. From what I can gather, most people are hacked through: 1) Phishing emails 2) Advanced Onchain Activity 3) Hotwallet Hacks 4) Online Password/Seed Storage 5) Some type of malicious software installed through whisking.
So like most, I am trying to avoid risky activity. The majority of my bags are stored on a Ledger. I have exercised a high amount of paranoia with it.
- seed phrases are physically stored in 2 places. No where else. (No web cams are active in my house unless plugged in/uncovered) Never typed into a computer
- I only send/recieve to my Ledger. I do not connect any apps to it directly. No external app, aside from Ledger Live, has connected to my Ledger. I do not stake from it either. -Any on chain trading is done with Exchange based wallets, or hot wallets. -Im a novice crypto user. I dont get too crazy but I do make sure I segregate all my data and wallets. I dont have any seed phrases stored online.
How at risk am I actually? Real world scenario?
