I got scammed out of 4,000 LRC (1,200$). Learn from my mistakes fellow newbs!

I got what they called ‘clipped’ by a scammer I believe. Was using layer swap to send my crypto from coinbase to my L2 wallet. Was trying to get that free activation offering loopring had.

I copied what I ‘believed’ was my address, and sent the funds over.

I sent two test transactions, they didn’t go to the intended wallet. I thought, “Oh they must’ve went to my GameStop wallet!”. I was going to buy some nfts any way.

I figured that’s the only place they could’ve went to because I haven’t added any other addresses on my phone. So I sent another 4,000 LRC over thinking it was going to my GameStop wallet without checking if it did. Completely my fault.

Lo and behold some fucker got on to the clip board of layer swap and stole my 4,000 LRC.

The address has 40,000 LRC coming for random wallets.

If anyone knows how to dox this address let me know!

EDIT: I was not clipped! And I did send the funds to the right address. I was using layer swap and the transaction failed. The wallet the funds went to was layer swaps L1 wallet. Which was then supposed to go to my wallet. But since the transaction failed, it just sat in their wallet. I’ll be getting my LRC Monday!!!

Thank you all for roasting the shit out of me. My only regret is that I didn’t put this under the comedy flair.
