I want to hear stories about shilling your friends, family, and colleagues but only ones with the worst endings

I’ll start - I hyped up DeepBrain Chain to a colleague in January 2018. It had hit $0.60 and wasn’t showing any signs of slowing down (like how everything feels during the bull). He bought…ahem…A LOT…and bought even more when he thought its drop to $0.45 was only temporary. Of course, $0.60 just so happened to be around the peak of the project’s entire existence. Given its current price ($0.002723), and discovering that he never sold, I’ve learned that he’s lost complete confidence in the money-making side of cryptocurrency altogether and spreads that sentiment whenever he gets the chance. (Although I’m also pretty sure he purged his crypto exchange navigational knowledge from his brain, so he probably couldn’t sell even if he wanted to)
