If you can't hold at least X years, don't buy. What does X represent for you?

How many years do you plan to hold obviously depends on a lot of factors, but what did you envision in your mind when you decided to buy and hold? 2? 5? 10? pass on to your hypothetical children who have not been born yet when they are 18 (in fact you don't even have a partner)?

Or maybe you didn't think about years at all, but rather a price threshold (e.g. will sell when Bitcoin reaches $X?
