For context, I've been a super low key crypto gambler who lost in 2017/2018 but has made back the losses. I'm not a big money maker, I don't go for 10x gains, but I've managed to make decent returns so far by taking emotions out of gambling (and yes I'm fully aware whatever strategies I use may not work in the future, which makes what I'm about to say that much more important).
For the love of all that is holy, if you are new to crypto and bought in because of rising crypto prices, this is not the part of the market cycle you should buy into. If you're lucky you'll make some returns and sell before any long term drop, but don't buy in expecting any meaningful gains. The vast majority of you will lose by letting your emotions take over. In fact you already lost by buying in during a surge. Are you going to magically learn to control your emotions before whatever crash comes? I don't think so.
Also, don't fucking listen to anyone about crypto including this post. 99% of comments out there are as garbage and as speculative as the assets. Any feeling of FOMO should be met with some serious skepticism on your part. Crypto is not a good way to make money. The only way to guarantee winning at gambling is to fuck off and never look back.
