I'm here to get rich but I can't explain what I'll do if I get rich

The main reason I'm in crypto is to get rich. I'm not modest enough to appreciate what I have and that's why I'll always stay poor.

I heard that wealthy people measure wealth not in money, but in quality time spent doing what they like to do.

I like reading books but I don't do it. Haven't been for years. Writing it out like this is really hard for me, but it's the truth and the truth hurts.

One of the excuses I use to myself when I'm constantly checking charts is that I'll be rich in the future because of it, and when I'm rich I can relax and live life to the fullest.

I came across this anecdote and it brought tears to my eyes:

The businessman was horrified to find the fisherman lying beside his boat, smoking a pipe.

'Why aren't you fishing?' asked the businessman.

'Because I have caught enough fish for the day,'

'Why don't you catch some more?'

'What would I do with them?'

'You could earn more money. Then you could have a motor fitted to your boat to go into deeper waters and catch more fish. Then you would have enough money to buy nylon nets. These would bring you more fish and more money. Soon you would have enough money to own two boats... maybe even a fleet of boats. Then you would be a rich man like me.'

'What would I do then?'

'Then you could sit back and enjoy life.'

'What do you think I'm doing right now?'

I'm amazed at the simplicity of this short, yet powerful piece of writing.

I've been contemplating on it and I realize that the best time of my life wasn't working as a nurse or in a grocery store. It was when I was a truck driver in a subsea tunnel with no internet connection driving for 12 hours with very few free days. I used to download audio books and listen to them while under the ocean floow; and I had no complaints. Life wasn't easy, but it was simple and good.
