I’m tired of crypto influencers

You’ve seen them, one minute they are “educating the masses” on all things crypto but the next they are shilling us crap coins that they were paid to promote. I’m tired of it because these videos are targeted to those new/on the fence about investing in or trading crypto.

And besides shilling, many of them also blatantly lie about transparency in crypto. This space is certainly more transparent and with a more equal playing field than traditional finance but still, it’s not perfect. I’ve watched the influencers make all this money from pre-sales or airdrops that most people don’t know about, or they never even mention frontrunning when talking about trading on a DEX.

I’ve been in crypto about a year now and definitely got sucked into many videos like this, even bought coins that I saw from certain influencers and got rekt. I won’t name any names here but I will say be especially careful who you listen to on Twitter or TikTok.
