Investment as a newbie

Should I start looking into investing as a newbie to the crypto hype. I usually invest in alternative methods and have a steady stream of passive income as well as my salary.

I am wanting to venture into something slightly different and out of my comfort zone. Crypto is exactly that. Willing to learn, but also understand that some investments can be a risk if you don’t know enough about the asset and it’s market influence.

I guess my question is, as a new comer, is bitcoin worth thinking of as a decent investment opportunity starting with small investments and accepting the risk of loss or decrease in monetary value?
