It is important to prepare for the Highs of Crypto

Getting high is a beautiful feeling. Getting high off crypto hopium is even better. We have only recently started to get good news again (XRP case, MOON listings) after the onslaught of this bear market (3AC, Celcius, FTX, etc) and the negativity surrounding it.

If you are an OG you know how these cycles work and may know when to take profits in the bull runs when everyone is FOMOing in. I have been around for a couple cycles yet have not managed to successfully buy low and sell high (bought high and sold low in my first cycle, watched the second because BTC $100k EOY 2021).

What we may forget is how excited we may have felt watching those green pillars stack - I felt they would pile on endlessly. When we experience a bull run it will feel that way again and there will be insane predictions that we may or may not reach. I remember feeling invincible during some of the bull only to watch the decline in 2022.

I think it's important to understand the psychology and sentiment that will fuel a bull run - many outsiders will be trying to buy in and it will feel like Bitcoin and ETH are this super finite asset that nobody can own enough of (IMO true). Demand will be at all time highs, sentiment incredibly bullish the bull run will feel permanent as the market caps climb to astronomical levels.

It is critical to know that the hopium will not last forever and sentiment from the masses will change like waves in the ocean. They are temporary exit liquidity and it is a good idea to develop a DCA out plan. E.g. DCA out 10% when BTC hits ATH, then 10% more when it hits 80K, etc. or even when your grandma calls you asking how to buy Bitcoin.

Regardless - this is a reminder to work on these plans now, write it down, and execute when the profits are ripe (if you are in crypto for that). I will never sell all my BTC/ETH, but I will try to ignore that beautiful hopium and take some profits during the next bull run.

TLDR: The bull run will make you incredibly bullish and hesitant to sell. Come up with a plan now if you want to take profits during a bull and think you will struggle at such an emotional high.
