It seems to me that a ton of people weren't around a few years ago when the ETH blockchain was constantly congested and now are noticing that ONE, Cardano, Fantom and other blockchains are getting congested. It is normal, it is a part of the process. Look at how often ETH was congested:
4 DEC 2017: CryptoKitties is causing ethereum network congestion
17 JAN 2018: Ethereum Network Congestion Forces Exchanges to Halt Withdrawals
20 May 2018: Shrimp, Frogs, and Drugs Are Clogging the Ethereum Blockchain
4 Jul 2018: Is a New Exchange to Blame for Ethereumβs Network Congestion?
And there are a ton of other instances where the network was congested and or down throughout the years.
I'm not hating on ETH nor on any of the other blockchains, all I'm saying that it is to be expected that a blockchain won't be able to handle ATH in terms of traffic without any issues. Only when problems appear can the devs fix them, issues will continue to happen and they will continue to get fixed. Let us hope no one suffers from the outages and give projects a chance to improve, good things take time.
I hope this provided you with some perspective and let us all be a bit patient. Cheers!
