Let me say it louder for the people in the back - Coinbase Pro does NOT require a paid membership

I know this may be widely known, but I recently had a friend tell me that they don't use Coinbase Pro because of the membership cost.

Coinbase always (understandably) gets railed by its huge fees when buying crypto. However, if you use Coinbase Pro, which is under your same Coinbase account, you will see much lower fees.

For example, you DCA $100/month into crypto. Using coinbase, you will see a $2.99 fee on every single purchase while using Coinbase Pro will only cost you $0.50. Add that up over a year and you will be spending $35.88 vs $6.00. To whales this may seem like nothing but this could make a huge difference in many of our long term goals. You can also easily transfer your crypto in between these accounts for free. Obviously use whatever CEX you are comfortable with, but if you stick to Coinbase, at least make your purchases on Pro to avoid giving away money for nothing.
