More evidence SBF might be the Bald rugpull dev?

3 hours ago the Bald dev tweeted “Current plan SUBJECT TO CHANGE is to wait as long as it takes until there’s a reputable dex with at least somewhat low chance of exploit before adding back very modest amount of liquidity.” This is due to the fact that Leetswap (the prevailing largest dex on Base until yesterday) was exploited and almost all liquidity pools were drained (besides Bald…?).

As everyone knows by now, Chef Nomi (creator of Sushiswap) was rumored to be SBF. Chef Nomi rugpulled Sushi shortly after it launched and released an apology statement, coincidentally almost word for word the same apology that Sam later used in light of the FTX collapse. Chef Nomi then handed the dex off to SBF and a few pseudonymous devs, who have retained control of it since. Meaning Sam gave himself the dex. There’s more circumstantial evidence connecting that Chef Nomi was Sam (pattern of speech, use of vocabulary) but that’s a rabbit hole for a different time.

So, 3 hours after the Bald dev tweeted about needing a dex, what do you know, a reputable dex comes along to host the liquidity!

Coinbase has literally said “do not enable base chain on any existing UIs yet” as well, at least before August 9th when the two-way bridge is online. Not only is Sushi going to open for business on Base, it’s conveniently right when the Bald dev needed to host liquidity on something else!
