Moving bags off ledger...eth gas fees ????

Hey fellow Apes, Lady Apes and Degens,

Finally got round to moving my bags off ledger to another wallet and I was shocked (again) by eth gas fees.

Moving some erc-20 tokens one bag cost £3.45...not bad I thought...then moving my small bag of Aave cost £15.79?! Wtf. Anyone have any ideas why moving Aave is so expensive on eth?

Eth may have 1st mover adv, but these gas fees will stop mass adoption and don't start saying use a layer 2's. If a base layer 1 can't do quick, cheap and scalable transactions it won't be winning any mass adoption anytime soon.
