My thoughts about metaverse projects so far.

Having heard so much about Facebook's recent push into the metaverse, I thought it'd be a good time to read this article and I was thinking about where this story could be headed. I heard that some people will believe that this metaverse is something you need to live in from an outside perspective, but in reality it isn't.

I think that metaverse is essentially what VRChat is, and that it will make Facebook more "present" than publishing a "passive" status. Like, what if the metaverse evolved into something functional and day-to-day, where it dissolves into the background of your everyday routine through augmented reality, beyond that level?

There may be a group of people who would prefer a decentralized/community-made version of that which is why I also think that Polygon may also be one of the major contributors to the metaverse as they are currently used by all of the major players and is developed on it like Aave, Decentraland, Polylauncher and Sandbox. All of this can be found within the Polygon ecosystem, and this is how the genuine metaverse should look in the real world!

For me, VR has always been about games; if something new comes out, I'll play it until it's finished, just as I would on a flat screen, and then I'm done. Rather than living for the moment, I’ll focus on entertainment.
