People can vote everyday with hardmoney

The power to print money can seriously undermine democracy. If a government uses money printing to support its policies, it's hard to label it a true democracy. We often hear that people can only vote once every four years, but in a country without money printing, voting could be a daily affair. Here's how it could work: during the election campaign, parties lay out their plans for channeling tax money into development. After the election, they stick to those plans unless faced with unexpected situations. In such cases, rather than altering promises, the government issues treasury bills with clear labels and descriptions stating how the funds will be used, like "1 trillion dollars for ammunition for Ukraine." If people or institutions are willing, they can buy these bills, and the government must explicitly outline how both interest and capital will be repaid.

With no money printing, the government has to figure out how to fund its debt before seeking loans, akin to individuals securing loans from banks. The chances of a trillion-dollar loan for Ukraine being approved by the public are slim, but I firmly believe that in cases of natural disasters, people would fund relief efforts willingly, possibly at lower interest rates. This setup would embody a purer form of democracy, where the government, appointed by the people to manage the country's wealth, acts as a servant rather than claiming ownership. After all, we appoint them to safeguard our wealth, not mess it up.
