People who claim bitcoin can never become money will go down in history as ignorant and extremely short-sighted.

Imagine going back 3500 years ago to 1500 BC in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia when gold was first beginning to be used as a medium of exchange.

You could see 1% then 2% then 5% of the population starting to use it to save and transact in odd weights of gold, but you were used to using wheat and cattle as money. You claimed confidently that gold could never become money because it couldnt be eaten like wheat or used on a farm like a buffalo and because it had no "real" use it could never be money.

Remember back in 1500 BC gold had no industrial uses, it was only used as a shiny ornamental collectible. Back then people couldnt even comprehend electronics let alone golds use in electronics.

It would have been extremely ignorant to claim that gold could never become money for those reasons, yet today thats how people are speaking about bitcoin.

These people who so confidently claim bitcoin can never become money cannot envision the future use cases of the bitcoin blockchain that will give it industrial and societal utility. They claim bitcoin cannot be money because it is not physical just as people claimed gold cannot be money because it cant be eaten like wheat or used like a buffalo. And even though they can see 1% then 2% then 5% of the world using it to save and transact they continue to dismiss these facts.

People that claim bitcoin can never become money are as ignorant and short-sighted as people in 1500 BC claiming gold could never become money. The only difference is the people claiming bitcoin can never be money have hundreds of hours of recorded podcasts that will be studied by monetary historians around the world in 100+ years from now. What a horrendous legacy to leave behind for future generations to study about you.
