There are so many subreddits I have come accross where OP has $100,000 in a "high yield" savings account earning .005% a year, while their principal is devalued by 20% in that same time period. This is especially common in the student loan forums. I've been downvoted into oblivioun for even suggesting they take some of it and buy bitcoin. There are some communities that are SO "risk-averse" that they will risk-averse themselves into bankruptcy.
How do we help these people understand?
