Practical applications for NFT on the etherium block chain?

I was wondering, with the NFT enthusiasm that seems to have gripped the crypto and normal world in 2020 and 2020, and NFT elements being anything and everything, as well as backlash for being considered mostly impractical, I'd love to get some clarification for what the practical use of NFT as a technology would usefully be?

Would it be primarily be a vehicle for digital art the same way auctions in the art world sell originals of famous paintings for astronomical prices?

Is there a practical use for the tech outside of the above? Maybe as a digital house deed, which has various digital records for others, but certifies you're officially officially owner? Or something else similar to this function?

Some have mentioned their use as like, trading cards or special access IRL with proof of purchase. So maybe VIP digital tickets?
