Reddit Avatars are among the first examples of people using blockchain tech without knowing it

For a while in this space I've seen crypto believers and enthusiasts say that in the future, people will be using blockchain tech without knowing it, the same way people use an OS or an app without knowing anything about the underlying tech. Reddit avatars would have to be one of the very few examples of this coming to life.

Everytime I see a collectible avatar displayed by a user commenting or posting on another sub, from gaming subs to tv show subs to region-specific subs, I often check their activity history and most of the time they seem to have never been involved in any crypto sub. There's a good chance these people have no idea about the underlying tech of NFT's, know nothing about Polygon or that they've minted an NFT on a blockchain.

I think this is pretty awesome and the sort of step you really want to see for crypto adoption. Hopefully it's just the beginning of what's to come.
