Reddit Should Use Moons to Run Reddit Ads

Ok here's an to give Moons even more utility and tie them further into the Reddit ecosystem. The idea is instead of just having people pay for Reddit ads, you use Moons and essentially allow people to stake Moons for certain keywords, in the case of Reddit this could be ads appearing in feeds and/or posts or could be you just bid on a sub.. It's still a bidding system like most PPC ad programs however instead of paying cash you stake moons. Here's how it would work, I want to show up say for example in r/fishing to advertising my fishing lures, I bid to stake 300 Moons, if someone else stakes 310 Moons their ads show up above mine.

This isn't a completely new idea, it's basically how Presearch runs however obviously since that's a search engine that works by keywords searched, Reddit may have to tweak it a bit since Reddin't technically isn't a search engine and I'm not sure what percentage of Redditors search keywords as opposed to just scrolling their feed or checking out subs that interest them but you could the point and it could work in other but similar ways.

Now it appears Reddits ad revenue has grown substantially over the years, though I can't find any updated stats since 2021, it was growing in subsequent years and 2021 seemed to be one of their best on record so not sure if this would make them less money or more money, but here's the plusses of this plan. It gives Moons utility people need them to advertise and Reddit is sitting on what 41 Million plus Moons, Reddit could sell Moons which are staked for ads. Here's another plus for advertisers, Reddit ads don't have a great reputation, I've used them a handful of times with not great results, in marketing circles thats kind of the general consensus, this would allow people to run ads without really having to pay money, they're just tying up money staking it for ads. It keeps selling pressure away and gives us some utility, seems like a win win.
