All I ever do is put a voice on what we all know is going to happen.
The digital Chinese renmimbi (yuan) which will be backed by boomer rocks (gold) will try and supplant the USD and will be successful for a time as the Belt and Road countries that are beholden to China will be forced to accept it.
Gold will appreciate in value for a time and the gold bugs will rejoice but just like any fiat currency, the digital yuan is doomed to failure as all mutable currencies are.
Only bitcoin fixes this. An immutable form of the hardest money ever created will survive only if enough free energy is available to keep the miners running hard.
