I haven’t contributed to my Roth IRA since about 2021 and it has been a little stagnant over the last few years. I’m a big believer in bitcoin and have bought and held real BTC since 2017. In my mind there won’t be any asset that will outperform BTC over the next 10+ years so I decided to allocate all of my Roth into bitcoin ETFs. As I contribute more into this account I will likely split it between an S&P500 ETF and the bitcoin ETFs but this initial investment will not be changed for the next 35 years. I only ever plan to trade my real bitcoin for another hard asset like a home or other real estate. But the bitcoin ETFs in my Roth are an opportunity for me to see 35+ years of tax free growth from bitcoin. Just wanted to share here because I think like minded folks might appreciate it more than my family members (and it feels strange to show family members account balances) [link] [comments] |
