One of my best friends is a Ukrainian, what I think is happening in Ukraine is absolutely awful and could have been avoided, but this isn't the last time we will see an oppressive government regime leveraging bitcoin and other digital assets to create a means to an end.
My Ukrainian friend is also using bitcoin to send money to family and friends back home. It's a dual-use tool and the best we can do is teach people that it has the potential to help just as much as it can be used to cause harm.
EDIT: I think the best we can do is hope to out-accumulate those who would use it for nefarious purposes.
