SC Malaysia bans Binance in Malaysia (with effective from 9th of August 2021), I have withdrawn all my $MATIC tokens from the platform and transfer them to the MATIC mainnet.

Disclaimer: This post is not to spread hate for Binance or convincing others to withdraw their funds from Binance. As Malaysians are getting close to the date (implementation of SC Malaysia's ban on Binance), it's always good to plan things ahead to secure your funds in Binance. The content of this post should not be taken as a financial advice as it is merely for educational purpose.

On the 26th of July 2021 SC Malaysia has announced to public that the ban will be made effective on 9th of August, and to date it has been already 12 days.

Yet, we are still not seeing any official announcement from Binance.

To those who are still waiting in hope to see if Binance is going to voice out about it and work things out with SC Malaysia to resolve the issue, you may continue because it's your digital asset in Binance, it's entirely up to you to take this risk but not for me.

Like many have said that, "but you can still withdraw your money/ tokens even after the ban being implemented, just use VPN" and my take for that would be, not really tho as Binance will ban users accessing Binance with different IP address or accounts with different IP address that they feel suspicious. All these will affect your withdrawal of funds from Binance.

So, I have decided to withdraw all my $MATIC tokens from the platform and it was pretty easy transferring them from Binance to the MATIC mainnet.

So, on the 28th of July 2021, Binance has announced it has completed its Polygon (MATIC) Mainnet Token Wallet Integration.

With this good news, I was able to transfer all my $MATIC tokens from Binance to the Mainnet with a very little cost.

Paste your destination address (MATIC mainnet), enter the amount you would like to send to the mainnet and select MATIC.

Check your transaction at here and key in the address at the search bar (highlighted).

The transaction normally will take around 3 - 5 mins. So yeah, you just gotta be patient.

That's all for the things I have learned today and I just want to share to those who are still struggling withdrawing their tokens from Binance.

Let's hope that SC Malaysia and Binance can work things out and get this ban lifted off ASAP.
