Selling bank stock to buy bitcoin

I work for a bank and one of the perks is that if I buy up to 5k worth of stock (deducted from my paycheque) then they will match half of that during the year. So basically every year I get 2.5k in free stock. I've been in the program a couple years and realized I'd have been much better off if I just sold all the stock and bought bitcoin. I'm allowed to sell/withdraw the stock once every quarter and I'm going to start doing this now. I recommend others to join in.
