Let's have a discussion regarding the different types of sharding. Based on this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxRgm6JAGpQ) we can see that the internet computer and Avalanche are using sharding techniques that they each call subnets. Other blockchains use transaction sharding with a beacon chain (zilliqa) and horizontal sharding (NEAR protocol). Ethereum plans to implement data sharding for L2s only.
