Correct me if I'm missing something, but Strike's claim to be able to send money to over 200 countries feels a little hollow for so many unbanked people.
Strike's awesome ability to teleport money to anyone in the world and exchange currencies for almost nothing in virtually no time, is almost worthless to those who don't already have a bank in their country.
Here's an example, I want to use Strike to send money to family in Haiti. Screw Western Union fees! So I tell my relative to set up on the Strike app. Great. Easy. I send them $100 USD. Strike converts it to the Haitian Gourde instantly. Awesome. Now they want to go buy food or supplies to fix the house. Sorry, cash only here. They're unbanked like 80% of the country so no way to withdraw that money. Therefore there's no point in using the service. It doesn't solve the problem because there's no last mile solution.
Many countries have similar situations, El Salvador, being one of the most prominent. Am I missing something?
Obviously if there was widespread adoption of strike then everybody could just exchange money on the app and be fine but, that's just not the reality.
