So there's a reason to my question, I will give you the details...
Just today I received a message from my uncle asking me the best way to transfer about 20k/EUR to someone in a different country. Nothing illegal, it was a sale of land that was held from a long long time ago. I looked at some cash options like transfergo, wester union, banks and similar platforms...
Now while these are not bad(banks are, crazy fees and all the info is shared with the gov), especially transfergo, once the money that you need to transfer starts touching your bank accounts, especially 20k in my country - it peaks the tax mans interest and someone who avoids that man a lot, I really don't want any of that attention, so crypto came to mind. While I am no professional trader, I had some success in it and I understand it well enough and how to set it up. The only problem was - the person who would be sending me it - is 60years old and the person receiving is 92... a successful British man. I thought I entered hell. But to my surprise, with about 4-5 hours of work, I was able to educate both men in the crypto sphere and the transfer was successful.
Now if a 92 year old can learn to use a wallet(with me teaching him remotely, not even in person)... I think anyone can and while it's still not the easiest of options yet, I think it is worth every second.
So my question is - have you had similar experiences and how long did it take you to teach someone or did you fail? What is the hardest part for you? How do people react and do people you try to teach have trust in the system or are very suspicious?
