Truth is, citizens aren't very excited about the ECB's digital Euro, so the ECB must come up with a new narrative. It's complicated though - bashing one digital currency while keeping the sentiment positive towards digital currencies in general. Their website reads like a propaganda pamphlet made for children in communism telling them about how bad capitalism is. I know how that sounds like, because I've seen it. Sorry for the rant.
